Why Kinetic Photography? Kinetic means the energy of motion. We are a creative, dynamic husband and wife team and we aim to capture the movement and energy of people in our images. We aim to keep moving forward, keeping in touch with trends and techniques from different continents. We have a passion for photography and take great joy and care in taking your photographs and capturing the biggest moments in your life forever.
At Kinetic Photography we have invested in top of the range digital technology which gives us even more flexibility to meet your requirements. Using only top of the range digital camera's and lenses, we can take natural, unobtrusive images without you even noticing. We also take a back-up camera with us at all times and back-up all images once taken. Our aim is to provide the best quality photographs at the most reasonable prices.
We are members of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, are both Disclosure Scotland checked, fully insured (public liability and indemnity) and have excellent feedback.
All of our photographs printed are processed using professional printing methods on fade resistant photographic medium and can last in excess of 150 years. As we use only top of the range cameras, we can print to a very large size without loss of quality.
We find it is really important to listen to you and we take on board your preferences at all times, whether it be the amount of time taken on the photographs, the style of photography or different ideas that you have seen and would like to be recreated. Your needs are most important to us and we put these first.

We view it as an honour to take your wedding photographs and treat your Special Day with the utmost respect. We are there to capture moments in time that cannot be repeated and the candid shots that reflect the happiness of your day. We take photographs unobtrusively so that you can enjoy your special day and have images to treasure of your day.
Recently married ourselves, we know the importance of capturing the finer details of the wedding, details which have been painstakingly planned for a long time; table settings, flowers, invitations, shoes, jewellery, hair. We also capture classic shots of your wedding party‚ and more importantly, the candid shots that tell the stories and reflect the happiness of the day, capturing moments in time that can not be repeated.
Prices for our wedding packages start from £450.00. Some of our package options include traditional hand-made leather albums, book-bound ‘storybook’ albums, parent books and mini-books for friends and family. Framed prints and wedding canvas’s are also available. All of our wedding packages include photographic coverage of the full day at no extra charge, from at the brides house, before departure to the ceremony, to the first speeches.
We mainly cover weddings from Glasgow to Stranraer including; Kilmarnock, Irvine, Kilwinning, Saltcoats, Ardrossan, Troon, Prestwick, Ayr, Maybole, Girvan and Newton Stewart with no extra charge for travel.

Studio portraits
At our studio in Ayr, we only use top of the range studio and lighting equipment. We have a wide range of backgrounds so that you can have a more formal/informal photo shoot – the choice is yours! You are the star of the show and you call the shots!
At Kinetic Photography we normally carry out a consultation before the photo shoot to discuss preferences, ideas and get you to relax and have fun in the studio so that you will enjoy your session. Our creative approach will leave you with a wide selection of stunning black & white and colour images of you and your loved ones‚ having fun and spending time together. Precious moments captured now will be enjoyed‚ admired and shared‚ forever.
We aim to capture a unique and intimate reflection of the way you love and live so that you take away instinctive and spontaneous pictures‚ capturing the very essence of you and your loved ones.
Our services can include mounting and framing, wraparound canvas’s, acrylic prints and glossy storybooks. Please contact us for further details.
Lifestyle portraits
As we are based in the centre of Ayr, we have a large range of location resources to work with. Lifestyle location portraiture is a studio on our doorstep. People’s personalities are captured better when they are relaxed and having fun. Before a lifestyle photo shoot, we will find out what you enjoy doing and try to bring those elements together. This could be your favourite walk‚ passionate hobbies or locations that mean a lot to you. A lifestyle portrait capturing you in your ‘element’ will be an experience you will never forget‚ and is something that could portray your personality more than you might imagine.

At Kinetic Photography we can cover your event, whether it be a graduation ball, sporting event or charity function absolutely free of charge.
We do not charge an attendance fee as long as there are more than 50 people in attendance. If you would like, we can take along our studio equipment with professional background and lighting for a professional portrait, or we can take photographs more informally, there is no extra charge for this – it’s up to you!
We can offer free attendance and also give commission back to you for larger events and charity functions. Please contact us with the details of your event if you would like further information on how we can give commission on your function.
There is no need to pre-pay for your photographs, we simply take photographs as required whether it be single/group shots and give a card with details of our website and password. There is absolutely no pressure to buy.
Your event photographs will normally be available to view on our website within 2 weeks of the event. Our re-print prices start from just £5 for a 7x5 inch photograph.
